My very first experience is getting a receipt. This email does not tell what to do. OK so the next email says 'START HERE" which directs me to a place where I can either enter a login (I don't have one) Or utile SSO via google or Microsoft etc... (This doesn't work) which leaves me either trying the old forgot password (Update for developers this may work <doesn't work for me> but is a TERRIBLE user experience).
Never mind the first video is about adding my team when I can't even login yet
All of which leaves me to 'get started' which takes all my details and then creates a free version for me.... But what about the version I paid for??? Confused - and if I didn't know better - the red mist would be starting to rise.
But before hurling my laptop at the wall I give it a go...
It then starts by getting me to upload my logo -- A good first step.
Step 2? sends me to the marketplace to get lost. (Horrific second step)
Then out of nowhere a pop-up (you wanna make sure they are on point because it's a flow interrupt) telling to go checkout a PAID add on!!!
That is possibly the worst thing I could imagine sending a new person to checkout...
All I have done is upload a logo and I being sent into a marketplace (read: Deep Dark Forest) and not only that but down 1 particular rabbit hole within that forest.
Right now I feel like I am playing an RPG only I missed the class creation stage and got a blank generic warrior and after choosing a colour (uploading logo) I am already being asked to buy an expansion pack.
But hang on a second -- what about letting me choose a class, giving my character a name, playing through a tutorial? or even a starter area?
And what about the core game I purchased... Why am I on the free version?
Total cluster bomb of confusion....
As I keep saying... If I didn't know better, I would have already quit and would never return.
Please do not misunderstand me - I'm not quitting but I am telling you that if I had not had a personal conversation that educated me as to why I want to be here... I would not be here.
Even the categorization choice I am being given is confusing so I am leaving up to you to categorise by saying 'uncategorised'.
Is this user management? Billing? kind of.... It's the perspective of a new user.
There is a lot more I could say but perhaps if someone really wants to know they can jump on a call with me and I can elaborate to the point where you will be as frustrated as I am.
If the new user experience matters then call me.
