Every Vibe plan now includes a dedicated daily Ask allowance that resets every 24 hours at midnight UTC. Ask questions, diagnose issues, and scope page architecture freely before spending your regular credits on making actual project changes.
Why it's Important
Many critical steps in web development, such as investigating why a form fails to submit, analyzing page structure, or planning a booking flow, involve exploration rather than direct code updates. Previously, sending diagnostic or planning prompts drew from the exact same credit balance needed to build.
This update removes friction by separating discovery from execution. You can now thoroughly troubleshoot and brainstorm for free, reserving paid credits strictly for implementing changes. If your balance reaches zero credits, you can continue troubleshooting while remaining within your daily Ask allowance.

Free
: 500 credits per day (~6 to 10 questions)
Standard
: 3,000 credits per day (~40 to 60 questions)
Pro
: 7,500 credits per day (~100 to 150 questions)
 Automatic Daily Resets: 
 Allowances refresh every day at midnight UTC (unused allowances do not roll over).
Usage Metering: 
A progress indicator appears when 90% of the daily Ask allowance has been reached. Once the daily limit is exhausted, Ask mode transitions to consuming your standard credit balance until the next midnight UTC reset.
Preserved Context:
 Switching from Ask to Plan or Build automatically carries over conversation history so no context is lost.
How to Access
Open any project in Vibe.
In the mode selector next to Send, select Ask
 (labeled Free daily).
Enter your question or diagnostic request.
When ready to implement changes, switch to Plan or Build, or accept Vibe’s direct suggestions to start a Build run.
Tip: Start a new conversation session when switching topics. Shorter context threads keep per-message token consumption lighter, extending your daily allowance.
FAQs
Q: Is Ask completely free?
A: It is free for everyday use up to your tier's daily limit. If the daily allowance is exhausted, Ask mode will draw from your regular credits until the reset at midnight UTC.
Q: Will free Ask activity appear in credit balance or usage logs?
A: No. Free Ask usage is tracked separately and does not appear in standard usage history. Only Ask queries that exceed the daily free allowance and draw from regular credits are recorded in usage history.
Q: Do I need to activate this feature?
A: No, this allowance is automatically enabled across all editions.
