Set dynamic values in automations for custom fields

As an administrator of my organization’s Vendasta CRM, when creating an automation that involves setting a custom field of a Date value type, I would like to be able to dynamically insert the current date. This is not currently possible because you can only set explicit values for dates, but adding the ability for dynamic value insertion you would allow for me to create more flexible automations using parameters that are not native to the platform.

To help us better understand your use case, could you share a bit more detail on how you envision using the current date dynamically? For example:
Would you be using it to track the start of a workflow, a contact’s signup date, or some other milestone?
Are there other dynamic values (e.g. "X days from now") that you'd want to use in addition to the current date?
With a bit more context, we’ll be in a better position to evaluate the need and explore possible solutions.
