I have tried multiple times within Stripe and within partner center to enable a notification when a customer initiates a payment. Be it by card or ACH any other payment processor or bank application in the world sends you a notification that the payment has been initiated. Not sure why this simple feature is not enables, allowed, configured or built as it is not helpful to only get a notification 5 days later after the payment has posted in Stripe.

Provide clients with the ability to request and accept payments online to collect revenue quickly and easily. Whether they're collecting payment for services rendered or a deposit to hold a product in-store, incoming revenue is directed to one location for easy accounting.
